The famous horror filmmakers from the 1980s and 1990s have recently made a vampire movie as their comeback. Interestingly, the movie in the beginning has a slide of 5 seconds saying “RAMSAY HORROR IS BACK”. The movie titled “Neighbours” is produced and directed by Shyam Ramsay, one of the Ramsay Brothers who has a cult following in India for their horror flicks.
The story is about a young girl, who discovers while spying on her neighbours, that they are actually vampires. The girl’s family dismisses the revelations and this prompts her to probe further on her neighbours. The movie, which is a mixture of “Rare Window”, “Disturbia” and “Twilight”, has been panned by critics with some even refusing to review it.
Although officially released in March 2014 the film is still waiting for a wide release. The movie features Mimoh Chakraborty in the main lead.
