The Amityville horror is all set to have one more sequel

The infamous haunted house in Amityville, New York has been an inspiration for a novel and 11 feature films in a time span of 36 years. Now French director Franck Khalfoun (Wrong turn at Tahoe) is working on the 12th installment of the series, which will be titled as AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING. This part will also be set in the same house where in 1979 the father murdered six members of a family.

The film tells the story of a young girl Belle, who has moved into a new house with her little sister and comatose twin brother. Her brother needs continuous medical attention and their single mother is not able to take care of the expenses. Their new house is quite affordable but very soon Belle starts seeing strange things in the house and her brother miraculously is getting cured. She realizes that their mother has not told them something important and the house they moved in is the ill-reputed Amityville house.

Jennifer Jason Leigh, Bella Thorne (Shake it up) and Cameron Monaghon (Click) are doing the main roles in the film. Jason Blum is producing the film along with Daniel Farrands, which is slated to release in early 2015. A teaser of the film is already viral.
