After giving two back-to-back hits in the Bollywood horror franchise RAAZ, Emraan Hashmi is going to star in the fourth part as well. The franchise began with RAAZ with Dino Mario playing the main lead, but later in parts two and three Emraan Hashmi played the main lead, all being box office successes.
We had earlier reported to you that RAAZ 4 is going to be an official remake of the Hollywood classic OMEN so considering the story line of the Hollywood Horror; it seems obvious that Emraan is going to play the role of father, which Gregory Peck played in the Hollywood film. India today quoted Vikram Bhatt confirming the news and saying, “We are yet to finalize the heroine but Emraan is definitely on board. We will roll in the first quarter of the next year”.
The film is to be shot across Mumbai and some parts of the UK and USA as well. Vikram Bhatt and Emraan Hashmi are presently shooting for another Horror flick, Mr. X. The selection of the main lead actress will also be an interesting news as previously we have seen Bipasha Basu playing the main lead in two of them while Kangana was in part two and Esha Gupta sharing the screen with Bipasha in part three. So far RAAZ 3 has been the most successful in the franchise, box office wise.
Before this Emraan has not only been a part of RAAZ 2 & 3 but has also done MURDER 1 & 2 for the Bhatt Camp. In fact after switching from Emraan and taking on board Randip Hooda for MURDER 3, the production house didn’t receive any excitement from the audience. Filmfare quoted Mahesh Bhatt saying “Going by the numbers it is impossible for us to separate the MURDER and RAAZ franchise from Emraan Hashmi since he is an integral and inseparable part of the brand .We have burnt our fingers thoroughly with MURDER 3, a venture Emraan did not spearhead and we do not plan to repeat that. We will not make MURDER or RAAZ without Emraan Hashmi”.
