Guillermo del Toro’s next is about a Teacher Who Must Save Her Student From “Something Terrifying”

Acclaimed Mexican horror filmmaker Gullermo Del Toro (Hellboy, Devil’s backbone, Pan’s labyrinth, Mama) is producing ‘Antlers’. Fox Searchlight has acquired the supernatural horror film’s script, which is written by Henry Chaisson and “Channel Zero” creator Nick Antosca.

‘Antlers’ follows a fourth-grade teacher who tries to help a troubled boy in her class, only to discover that he’s been hiding a nightmarish secret. Now something terrifying is coming for the boy, and she has to protect him.

Guillermo del Toro, whose new film The Shape of Water was released by Fox Searchlight this past weekend, is producing with David S. Goyer and Kevin Turen under their Phantom Four banner.

Antosca, who appeared on the 2016 Young and Hungry List had previously worked with Goyer on The Forest. Antosca also developed Friday the 13th for Platinum Dunes before it was shut down.
