The trio of Mukesh Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt and Vikram Bhatt is back with a supernatural horror film titled Mr. X featuring Emraan Hashmi and Amyra Dastur in the leading roles. The Bhatt camp is known in India for producing some of the blockbuster horror films such as Raaz and Murder.
This film tells the story of Dr. Vikram, who has the power of becoming invisible and uses this to take revenge from people responsible for making his life hell. In the quest, he has the support of his love interest Milli. Vikram Bhatt writes the story while Bhatt’s favorite Shagufta Rafique has done the dialogues.
A trailer of the film is online now and you can get a feeling of what is going on in this invisible man’s revenge story. There are similarities in this film and Hollywood horror Hollow Man, specially the designing and traits of the invisible man such as being visible in water and other liquids. Although it is not revealed in the trailer, how Dr. Vikram obtained the power to become invisible, but a shot indicates something towards a failed experiment just like in he Hollow Man.
The makers rubbish the rumors of any similarity with the 2000 film starring Kevin Bacon. Mahesh Bhatt told the Times of India that he actually is inspired from the 1957 movie by his father Nanabhai Bhatt also titled Mr. X featuring Ashok Kumar as an invisible man.
