Indian TV star Gurmeet Choudhary is making his film debut with upcoming supernatural thriller KHAMOSHIYAN. He is quite excited as the film is produced by Bollywood biggies Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt. Adding to his excitement is the fact that his wife Debina Bannerjee is also playing a pivotal role in his debut film. Interestingly the role she is playing is not against Gurmeet’s but rather the love interest of Ali Fazal, the other hero of the film.
Talking about this development Debina said in an interview with glamsham- I play Ali Fazal’s girlfriend in Khamoshiyan. You know, it came as a pleasant shock to me when Guru (Gurmeet Choudhary) came and told me ‘There is this very important part in Khamoshiyan and you have to go and shoot for it.’ I was dumb struck for a moment, no audition, no screen test, and an important role in a Vishesh Film project.
Vikram Bhatt writes Khamoshiyan and debutant director Karan Dara (earlier associated with Bhatt’s camp several films as an assistant) is directing it. The film also stars actress Sapna Pabbi in it.
The film tells the story of a struggling writer visiting the valleys of Kashmir in search of a story. He meets a girl there who has a mysterious past and very soon he realizes that the mystery behind the girl is much horrific than he expected. The film releases on 30th January.
